downloaded boinc-6.12.26-10 and seti-5.27 for linux/powerpc.

tar -xvf ./boinc_$RELEASE.tar produces all expected files and directories EXCEPT /opt/boinc/lib

Same problem with 32 and 64-bit boinc, and seti.

SYSTEM is IBM p520 running Fedora 16, 64-bit with glibc 2.14

running without this lib dir causes this error:

SIGSEGV: segmentation violation
