 Post subject: help me understand user "boinc"

On my regular Ubuntu v8.10 desktop machine (as do my Xubuntu crunchers) System -> Administration -> Users & Groups returns this screen:

Here the default user is "skip" and was the user id used at installation.


On my dotsch/UX machine System -> Administration -> Users & Groups returns this screen:

From this prompt it's obvious "boinc" is the user so where is the default user "boinc"?

The user BOINC is the default user, which is configured by default by me. The user ubuntu is from the default Ubuntu Live CD installation. I don't know why the user and group admin tool did not show the user boinc. Looks like a bug. - I will need to have a closer look what's going wrong. I guess that the tool did not show the default user which is configured by default on the Live CD.
But, I see no problem, if you would like to add a new user for a personal account. - The user BOINC has some more permisions on the system to administrate the Dotsch/UX tools...

No all is OK. I am just trying to lean as much about this as I can.
