Want to install Linux version of World Community Grid client on my EEE PC netbook USB Flash Memory stick that currently has Win 7 Starter running on it. Here is what I have done so far.
Downloaded the Dotsch/UX for X86 .iso file.
Used UNetbootin to create the bootable USB flash memory stick.
Changed netbook bios to book from the USB stick.
Machine boots from USB.
I get a blue screen that says UNetbootin at the top.
Below it is a line that says "Default"
Below the blue box it says "Press [Tab] to edit options"
Below that is a count down "Automatic boot in 10.9.8.7.... seconds..."
This automatic count goes to 1 then starts over at 10.
I press the TAB key and I see "> /ubnkern initrd=/ubninit "
What should I do next? Did I do something wrong?
I am a Unix novice...
Thanks for your help/suggestions.

The method of creating a USB boot stick it's wrong. You have got to burn the iso image to a CD and boot from the CD and install Dotsch/UX via the installed to the USB stick. Otherwise, you can also perform the installation on a other PC, if your NetBook does not have any CDROM drive.

Thanks for the help.
I burned the .iso file to a CD using Free Easy Burner.
When the netbook boots from the CD it trys to start.
I see "ISOLINUX 3.63 Debian-2008-07-15 Copyright (C) 1994-2008 H. Peter Anvin"
Below it I get a "boot:" prompt.
I press ENTER and get this response: "Could not find kernel image: linux"
What's wrong?
Thanks Again.

I guess, that the download was corrupted. Could you please download the iso image again.
A check of the download sources aerospaceresearch.net and dotsch.homeunix.net showed vaild checksums for the iso images.
