What is the recommended way to change the system name on Dotsch UX 1.2 (USB) (from "dotschux")? Basically I want the system name on each of my computers to be different so tracking the results is easier. I know some methods can really mess up settings if not done right, so would like to know the recommended way.

E.g. the “/etc/hostname” or “/etc/sysconfig/network” file? Any other files to prevent DNS/application errors?

Thanks

P.S. Perhaps in Dotsch UX 1.3 you can change the system name to be dotschux-<<random 4 digit number>>?
